Following extensive industry consultation and collaboration, all nine Growth State priority industry sector strategies to 2030 have been launched.
They inform the state government on how it can assist in unlocking and accelerating business expansion and job creation.
Progress towards each of the nine sector growth targets will significantly contribute to achieving the Growth State plan’s aim to grow Gross State Product on average by 3 per cent, notwithstanding external shocks.
Target: visitor expenditure of $12.8 billion by 2030, to generate an additional 16,000 jobs

Target: $3 billion expenditure (service exports), 71,000 enrolments and 23,500 jobs by 2030

Target: create more than 4000 direct ship building jobs, with thousands more in adjacent and support industries by 2030
The activities specific to the Attack Class Submarine Program in the Defence Sector Strategy 2030 are currently under review following announcements regarding the expansion of naval shipbuilding programs in South Australia in September 2021.
Other priority areas and actions outlined in the strategy are unchanged and the South Australian government is committed to maintaining momentum in the sector as a key driver of the state’s economic transformation.
